Use a Food Combination
To Burn Fat
Perfecting more than one food combination to burn fat will allow you to not only enjoy your food more, but see better fat loss results as well.
After taking the time to figure out exactly how many calories you must be consuming if you're to succeed on your fat loss diet, the next step is looking into certain food combinations to burn fat. At many of your meals, if you eat particular foods together you're going to find that it helps to keep your energy levels more stable, prevents hunger from developing, and enables your body to burn body fat off faster.
Let's go over a few of the major food combinations to burn fat that you should consider.
Tuna and Brown Rice
If you're on the hunt for a lean source of protein, tuna can't be beat. It's quick to prepare and doesn't contain any fat, making it ideal for right around the workout period. If you can pair this tuna with some brown rice, you're also going to get the slower digesting carbohydrate in the picture, which is essential for maximum energy development.
You don't want to head into a workout without any carbohydrates at all otherwise you're going to fatigue very quickly making that work far less than optimal.
Mix these two together with a small amount of salsa and you'll have the perfect fat burning combination.
Protein Powder with Fruit
Another food combination to burn fat that you may want to think about is protein powder with fruit. This will whip up very nicely along with a small amount of yogurt or milk to make for a quick protein shake on the run.
Since fruit contains some natural sugars it will energize you quickly, but then by having the protein powder in there as well you will prevent a sharp decline in those increased blood sugar levels.
For your best results, be sure to use a casein protein powder rather than an isolate as this will slow that digestion process down even further.
Don't be afraid to mix in a small amount of healthy fats either as that will make the shake that much more nutritionally well-rounded. Peanut butter or flaxseed oil are often two of the top choices used for this purpose so consider either one of those.
Oatmeal and Eggs
The third combination that's great for starting your day with is oatmeal and eggs. This is one of the food combinations to burn fat because the dietary fiber helps fill you up quickly while the amino acids in the eggs will get right into the muscle tissues where they're needed to repair your muscles from the hard workouts you've been doing.
You can even combine the oatmeal and eggs along with a small amount of your favorite sweetener and prepare an oatmeal protein pancake if you like. This is a very popular trend among healthy eaters who crave this comfort food for breakfast.
If you're really serious about your fat loss diet however, you will want to limit the amount of whole eggs you're eating and just consume the whites instead. These are much lower in overall fat and calories and will make the oatmeal-egg combo that much more effective for total body fat loss.
Chicken and Vegetables
Finally, the last food combination to burn fat is chicken with vegetables. This is a much lower carbohydrate meal combination but will really work well for maximum fat loss. The chicken again is a terrific source of protein so will help the hunger to be satisfied while the vegetables are incredibly low in calories and will ensure that you stay burning fat for the hours to come.
This is a great meal to have later on in the evening when you won't be quite as active and therefore won't require such a high level of carbs.
Be sure to watch how you dress up your vegetables though and avoid any high calorie, high fat sauces. Using those would take away from the nutritional and fat burning benefits that this meal has to offer you and really set you back.
So keep these in mind next time your next meal hits. By putting a bit of thought and care into your meal plan, you can often find your own perfect food combination to burn fat.
